Labrador Retriever Adoption Service (Lab Rescue) exists because of our volunteers’  passion for Labs and our incredible donors – they make this organization possible.  To continue our great, lifesaving work we must increase our fundraising efforts.  Lab Rescue has one Special Event per year called Labrapalooza!   The event is a huge party for dogs held in October each year that includes a fundraising walk in the park and lots to do and learn. To celebrate our 10 year anniversary this year we would like to welcome new, high energy individuals to the EVENT PLANNING Team .

 

Specifically, we are looking for a volunteer that would like to take on this one time project working with the Lab Rescue President to make this year’s Labrapalooza the best Lab party to date.  If you think you have the experience, passion and energy to get involved in this event planning please contact our team today!

 

 

The Back Office/Administration of Lab Rescue is an important part of the daily operations of this organization. The Back Office is where functions such as application processing, contract processing, website and information management and communications are managed.   Currently we have a few Back Office/Administration positions open at Lab Rescue which include:

 

 

Application Processing

Adoption Interviewer – approximately 6 hours a week.

 

News and Public Relations

Love of Labs Magazine; Planning / Design (distributed semi-annually)

Writer for article contribution to For the Love of Labs semi-annual magazine

Graphics artist

 

Information Technology

Re-designing / upgrading the rescue website, improving content  

 

Transporters

Help is required to transport dogs to and from vets, shelters, and foster homes. Lab Rescue will reimburse mileage as required with appropriate approvals. 

 

The time required for various positions are flexible and can be determined around your schedule and the amount of the task / project you take on with each role.

 

Lab Rescue is primarily operated by volunteers' that are dedicated Labrador enthusiasts who are committed to the wellness and happiness of all animals.
