Hi, I’m Cindy! I’m a 5 year-old bundle of love and energy, and I can’t wait to find my forever family. I’m the perfect mix of playful adventurer and snuggle buddy, always ready to make your day brighter. 

In case you’re wondering where my unique look comes from, I’m a Lab-Pointer mix.

I’m polite around the house—I don’t counter surf or beg for food, and I’m not protective of my toys or meals. I bond quickly with people and absolutely love cuddling on the couch. At night, I settle down easily and sleep like a dream, either snuggled up in bed with you or on my own dog bed. When guests come over, I greet them with an excited wagging tail and my favourite toy. 

I have a playful spirit and love to spend hours playing fetch with my ball. It’s one of my favourite things to do! I also love spending time outside. My squirrel patrol is top notch.

I’m a smart girl and already know TONS of commands. I patiently let you put on my harness or gentle leader before walks, and while I can get a little excited, I’m eager to keep learning and improving.  I’ll need some help with my leash skills, as I tend to pull when there are squirrels or other critters nearby but with patience and guidance, I’ll do my best to focus on you. Did I mention, I love treats? - the training kind are my favourite!

I’ve spent time with other dogs my size and we hit it off right away. I feel most comfortable meeting dogs off leash so there’s nothing restricting me from my excitement to bounce and spin and then we are off running and having fun!  I’m also fine in the house with other dogs too.  

I’m looking for a family that enjoys my playful side  and affectionate nature. Whether we’re playing fetch, exploring the yard, or cuddling on the couch, I’ll bring so much love and joy to your life. Could I be the perfect match for you?

FOSTER UPDATE 

Cindy is a very smart girl and knows her routines for eating and walking

She loves to watch TV, even if there are no animals on the screen.  However she does get very excited when she sees dogs and will go right to the screen to get a better look

She is extremely affectionate and likes to roll into a ball and lean into you. This happens at bedtime as well and she always has to be touching her human. When laying in a ball at bedtime she likes to be tucked in with her own blanket.

On occasion when sitting on the couch she will sit with her back to you so you will massage her head, neck and back. When you stop she will twist her head back to look at you and then will fall back into your lap so you can massage her chest. So cute.

When I have to leave her home I will say “I have to go out but will be back soon”. She will immediately go lay on the couch or will go hang out with whoever is home.

Cindy doesn’t use dog beds so I put them away. She prefers the couch and human beds.  If you’re in the kitchen she will lay on the floor to be close to you but only for a short time. Then she’s off to the couch. Cindy is a girl that appreciates comfort.

She is a very happy girl and will follow you around all day as she likes to know what you’re up to.  When I go to the basement she follows and on our way back upstairs she will always grab a squeaky toy and bring it upstairs to play with even though there is a toy box upstairs as well.

She is very obedient and always comes when you call her. She will look deep into your eyes when you speak to her.  A real gem.

She loves to be outside and watch for squirrels running across the fence. She would stay outside all day if you let her.  On walks she can be vocal when seeing dogs at a distance as she gets very excited because she wants to say Hi.

Cindy also enjoys going for car rides. She does like to stand on the console and watch attentively for any action going on. She also appreciates the the back windows cracked open a bit to sniff the fresh air once in a while.

When familiar people walk into the house she greets them whimpering and gently jumping up for a hug. She will also spins in circles she’s so excited.

She also likes to be kissed on her face and head and will occasionally give you lick to give kisses back.

Cindy is truly a well behaved and loving girl.  Her new family will adore her personality and all the love she’s willing to give.
