Meet Alley!
Alley is a loving and loyal dog who thrives on companionship and affection. She enjoys being by your side, especially when you’re sitting on the couch—she’ll curl up next to you and soak in the love. Alley is calm, quiet, and well-behaved at home, though she may bark when anxious, which is rare. She needs time to warm up to new people but is friendly and affectionate once she feels comfortable. Alley is good with calm, quiet kids but can be overwhelmed by younger, noisier ones. She’s best as the only dog in the home due to past issues with other pets, but she gets along well with cats. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Alley is ready to shower you with love!
Personality and Behavior:
Home Life: Alley is use to a quiet house with a fenced backyard, located in a peaceful suburban area. She is mostly calm, quiet, and loves to be by your side. If you’re sitting on the couch, she’ll curl up next to you, and she doesn’t chew on things or get into trouble. If she feels anxious, it may result in some barking, but that’s rare when she’s at home.
Exercise and Walks: Alley is walked daily, both on and off-leash. She enjoys exploring a nearby 40-acre property and has excellent recall. On a leash, she initially pulls a little but calms down and walks well.
People and Socialization: Alley is good with people but needs time to warm up. When she first arrived, new people had to throw treats from a distance, but now, she’s comfortable greeting them after a few treats. She’s met her many children and gets along best with calm, quiet kids. Younger children or noisy environments can be overwhelming for her.
Other Pets: Alley would prefer to be the only dog in the home. While she has been fine with other dogs in the neighborhood, she has had issues with her housemate. Her behavior around cats is fine—she’s curious but doesn’t chase them.
Car Rides: Alley rides well in the car, content to sit beside you and enjoy the ride.
Alley is a loving dog who didn’t have the best start in life abut is really looking forward to finding her new family soon. She just wants to be loved and would thrive in a quiet, calm home with no other dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection, Alley could be the perfect fit.
