Ace

Hi, I’m Ace! Life has been pretty amazing since I found my way into foster care, and now I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m a sweet, snuggly guy who loves nothing more than hanging out with my people — especially after a good walk or a game of fetch (with two balls, please, so we can keep the game going!). I’m still figuring out my favourite toys, but I’m having a blast exploring my options.

I’m super friendly and love meeting new people and dogs. I interact politely with other pups and get excited for walks, though I’m still learning how to be my best self on a leash. I’m very curious about all the smells outside, so I’d love a mix of sniffy walks for enrichment and regular walks for exercise and training. My foster has taught me “look” to help me refocus and of course smelly treats help too.  A little game of fetch before a walk helps me settle down, too.

At home, I have excellent manners. I’m fully housetrained, sleep through the night, and don’t mind being left alone. If I’m not resting at my foster’s feet, you’ll find me lounging on my dog bed or hanging out on the stairs.  I’m happy to share food and toys with people and my foster dog friends.

I’m smart and eager to please, especially if treats are involved! I’m learning my basic commands and would thrive with continued training — a beginner-level class would be a great way to build our bond and help me learn even more.
